Your fig-sized fetus now measures 1 1/2 inches from head to bottom and weighs in at a quarter-ounce. He finally looks like a baby, with tiny but fully formed fingers and toes. As his body grows and becomes more developed and functional, he'll start twisting and turning like an acrobat, cushioned and protected by your amniotic fluid. You, on the other hand, are probably feeling less like a gymnast every day.
Heartburn (caused by pregnancy hormones that relax the valve separating your esophagus from your stomach) and indigestion may be annoying you during the day and keeping you up at night. Just remember, all this suffering is for a good cause - you're having a baby!
He's a little tiny fig! I love him. I'm so excited. I went to look at some maternity clothes and they are all very very unattractive.

9 weeks and 2 days
Well, according to Dr. Lawson, I am officially 9 weeks and 2 days. Wow! I'm still really not eating any protein ....meat or chicken. DH made me a lovely grilled cheese sandwich and some Campbell's tomato soup. Yummy. I topped it all off with a pudding pop (only 80 calories).
On the pre-natal vitamin front---I'm still trying to decide between Duet and Vitofol. I really can't take them during the day because they make me gag so, I'm taking them before I go to sleep.
No major cravings except for the fact that I really want RAMEN!!! Temari cafe....here we come.

feeling good!
MIL threw a great party for DH and we had a feast of flank steak, pesto pasta and a lovely green bean salad. MIL makes the best food.
We all feasted and then had cake to top it off. Wow.
I'm feeling pretty good right now. I have a huge craving for sweets. I just want sweets all the time--cake, ice cream, pudding pops... I want to limit it though. I'm not trying to gain 50+ lbs.
Right now I have an aversion to chicken, beef and seafood. I think grilled cheese is on the menu for tonight.

Feeling a little bit...
8 weeks - The unborn child, called a fetus at this stage, is about half an inch long. The tiny person is protected by the amnionic sac, filled with fluid. Inside, the child swims and moves gracefully. The arms and legs have lengthened, and fingers can be seen. The toes will develop in the next few days. Brain waves can be measured.
There's a little bitty brain in there! Wow.
I'm feeling pukey. Ewww. Today I had a bowl of cheerios with skim milk, peach yogurt and then La Madeleine with Francine. I had a small french dip and tomato basil soup. Yummy!
I'm drinking at least 10 glasses of water at work. I am so unbelievably thirsty all the time. I'm already not fitting into my regular clothes so, I'm wearing a lot of empire-waisted things and lots of flip-flops or ballerina flats.
I miss my heels!

strollers...
Please scroll down after reading the delicious descriptions...
Seat Facing You: This is the seating postion to use after your child has outgrown the bassinet. Perfect for the "in-between" age between infant and toddler when your child wants to start seeing the world, but isn't quite ready to sit all the way up on their own. With the seat facing you, you will always be in visual contact with your baby, helping strengthen the bond between parent and child. You will also always be able to see what he or she is doing, so if hungry, you can give a bottle, or be able to wipe the little mouth without having to stop and walk around the stroller. With the seat halfway up the stroller, your child will still be in reach during this tender age.
Seat Facing the World: Sure to be your child's favorite function of the stroller. Sitting up nice and high, and facing out into the world, your child will be able to take in everything that comes their way. With a view much higher than the average stroller, your baby will be able to see what you see, instead of what every other baby is seeing. Your baby will feel as if the everyday trip to the market is an adventure!
Mosquito Net: Protect your child from pesky and harmful insects during those wonderful early evening summertime strolls. Designed to fit snugly over the bassinet or child seat, the mosquito net attaches and un-attaches quickly and easily.
I love this stroller it has all the components of a perfect stroller but better. What will they come up with next?

I'm pregnant!!!!
We're pregnant! It's the beginning of the 8th week and I feel great. We've had 2 sonograms and we've already seen the babar grow. Right now I crave sweets--ice cream mostly. Things I don't want to eat are fish or beef. I can't eat that much at a time so I snack throughout the day on apples, yogurt, pbj's, cheese, nuts and granola bars.
John has been great at being supportive and making the best banana milkshakes on the planet.
Currently, when I can't eat anything else I have a McDonald's cheeseburger. It's the perfect size and fulfills my protein quotient. Terrible huh?
